What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training & Development Manager position at Zeta Tau Alpha?
This position will develop, implement and assess educational initiatives for collegiate and alumnae members, aligning with the mission and goals of ZTA under the direction of the Executive Director and National Council.
- Assess educational and training needs of the Fraternity on an ongoing basis.
- Create and execute specific best-in-class Fraternity education, leadership development, training programs and e-Learning workshops in accordance with the mission, Creed and goals of the organization.
- Update educational resources as necessary, ensuring that programs stay relevant and meet ZTA policies and standards.
- Write and support the development of our Officer Leadership Academy, a weekend long experience that trains over 600 officers from over 160 chapters.
- Write and support the development of our Summer Leadership Academy content, focused on volunteer and/or emerging leader education.
- Support Convention programming based on the direction of the larger Fraternal goals.
- Be a representative and/or facilitator for the Fraternity at local, regional and national meetings and events as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree required. Masters degree in a related field (student affairs, education, higher education, etc) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience (graduate assistantships considered), preferably in higher education, training, curriculum development, or the fraternity/sorority field.
- Knowledge of student development theory and adult learning theory.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, curriculum/program development experience, critical thinking skills, project management abilities, attention to detail, and facilitation abilities.
- Prior association or fraternity experience required; Zeta Tau Alpha membership preferred.
