Job Summary
This full-time on-site role involves overseeing daily operations of the billing department, ensuring timely and accurate billing processes across our national network of sales representatives, healthcare providers, and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor claims submission to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.
- E nsure proper coding and compliance with regulatory requirements and contracts.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and support billing staff, including internal and external contractors.
- Develop training programs for staff and network members on billing procedures and regulatory changes.
Financial Management
- Manage accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
- Analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Compliance and Regulatory Management
- E nsure all billing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare billing regulations and guidelines.
Customer Service
- Address patient, provider, and distributor inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Billing process and system expertise.
- Strong understanding of medical billing and coding principles, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS.
- Operations management experience.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
