Zeus Fire and Security represents the holding company for a new Access Holdings platform investment within the Fire Protection & Security sector. Zeus was established to build a national network of fire protection and security providers recognized for execution excellence across a variety of service lines in high quality end markets. Zeus addresses customer's commercial and residential fire protection and security needs through a broad array of services from mission critical fire system installation, testing and inspection to physical security system installation and video monitoring. Zeus was established with the singular purpose of partnering with industry-leading fire and security operators who are seeking a collaborative growth partner dedicated to inspiring and accelerating the long-term growth of business and team members.

Role Overview

The Director of Customer Facing Technology will lead the Technology Center of Excellence (CoE) at Zeus Fire and Security, driving innovation, product development, and customer engagement. This role is responsible for evaluating new ideas, managing cross-functional collaborations, establishing knowledge repositories, and overseeing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will ensure alignment with strategic goals while delivering impactful, customer-centric technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Innovation & New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Idea Validation : Develop and implement processes to evaluate new product ideas for feasibility, market potential, and strategic alignment.
  • Development Framework : Define and manage product development stages, from concept to prototype to market-ready solutions, with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Build and lead diverse teams from hubs, marketing, sales, and customer service to drive innovation.
  • Pilot and Testing : Oversee pilot projects, user testing, and data analysis to refine products before launch.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy : Collaborate with marketing and sales to craft comprehensive strategies, including product positioning, launch plans, and sales enablement.
  • Launch and Monitoring : Manage product launches, monitor performance metrics, and incorporate customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Training and Support : Develop training materials and resources to support internal teams and customers for new product adoption.

2. Knowledge Management

  • Establish a centralized repository to store and share knowledge, including lessons learned, success stories, and industry insights.
  • Implement processes for continuous learning and dissemination of best practices across hubs.
  • 3. Vendor Management

  • Vendor Selection and Onboarding : Create criteria for selecting vendors that align with Zeus's quality and innovation standards. Manage onboarding processes, including compliance checks.
  • Vendor Relationship Management : Lead vendor relationships, ensuring clear communication, streamlined contracts, and regular performance reviews.
  • 4. Customer Engagement

  • Develop Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) focused on specific verticals or problem areas to gather insights and introduce new innovations.
  • Gather and incorporate customer feedback for product enhancements and improved service offerings.
  • 5. Performance Metrics

  • Define and track KPIs to measure the CoE's impact on innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Regularly review performance data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • 6. Collaboration and Partnerships

  • Build and nurture partnerships with external experts, industry leaders, and technology vendors to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Ensure regular communication of CoE achievements and progress across the organization.
  • 7. Compliance and Standards

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations for video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems.
  • Collaborate with standard-setting bodies to anticipate and adapt to industry changes.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in customer-facing technology leadership roles, with a focus on innovation and product development.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering market-ready products.
  • Expertise in vendor management, customer engagement, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on driving results and fostering collaboration.
