Role Overview
The Installation Manager will be responsible for coordinating with customers, scheduling installations, managing project managers, installation crews, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage installation projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management in multiple installations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during installation projects, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop full-scale installation plans and define installation tasks and resource requirements.
- Responsible for communicating effectively with higher management and other departments to ensure installations are completed on time and within budget.
- Ability to conduct a site survey in conjunction with the sales department to determine a sales estimate to include costs for parts and labor, etc.
- Lead and mentor project managers, Installation technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with inventory control to ensure the availability of materials and equipment needed for installations.
- Manage the installation backlog and identify what is workable versus non workable. Have a weekly cadence to closing all complete jobs ensuring maximum revenue recognition.
- Hold weekly Project Manager meetings to provide updates on project status and keep the ERP system updated with the job status.
- Present installation progress to higher managers and other departments as needed.
- Ability to identify and evaluate problems that arise. Provide proactive solutions to management.
- Ability to liaise between Installation project managers and management staff.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management discipline
- Five years of work experience and three years of supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in installation operations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- The position is required to be in the field with Technicians as needed for projects.
Work Requirements:
- Working knowledge of PC’s and Windows software.
