What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Coordinator position at Zeus Fire and Security?
Role Overview
The Service Coordinator ensures seamless communication between customers, technicians, and in-house teams
while scheduling service requests and inspections. They manage work orders, track technician time, and ensure
accurate records. Additionally, they negotiate service costs and coordinate with other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain quality customer relations by effective communication and interaction between customers, field
- technicians, and in-house operators.
- Schedule outside service technicians for customer service requests, emergency service, and routine
- inspections to ensure efficient and effective system maintenance.
- Ability to negotiate service call costs to an acceptable amount to meet budget.
- Enter and track service work orders, technician’s time to complete work, and follow-up on open work
- orders to ensure accurate account information is being processed.
- Inform appropriate departments of certain requests that are initiated by customer but cannot be
- performed by the Service Department and make appropriate follow up comments in database.
- Responsible to accurately complete fire/RAVEN inspection paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Must meet or exceed the minimum performance standards.
- Perform special projects and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One year of customer service experience in a call center environment or office setting, or equivalent
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications and good technical aptitude
- Strong organizational skills and outstanding communication skills are necessary to work in this fast paced
- and high-pressure environment
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Skilled with various CRM or VMS tools, particularly Sedona is a plus
Work Requirements:
- Position is considered sedentary and requires extended periods of telephone and PC exposure.
