Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Opportunity in Williamsport, PA!
Schedule :
Start Date : August 1, 2024
Coverage Details : 7-day blocks, one or two weeks per month
Shifts start Friday at 5 PM and end the following Friday at 5 PM
Specific dates available, updated as of January 15, 2025
Call Responsibilities : 24-hour call coverage with a 30-minute response time
Position Type : Hospital-Based
Patient Load :
Weekdays : Rounding at 8 AM with 4-6 outpatient procedures (screening colonoscopies) scheduled in endoscopy
Weekends : On-call coverage with hospital rounding as needed
Patient Population : 100% Adult
Support Staff : Collaboration with Physician Assistants during rounds and throughout the day
Requirements :
Board Status : Board Certified or Board Eligible
Certifications : ACLS and BLS required
Experience : Minimum 1 year preferred
Licensure : Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA required
Notes : Candidates requiring licensure sponsorship are not eligible
Job Highlights :
Provide comprehensive gastrointestinal care, including endoscopy procedures (EGD and colonoscopies)
Support team growth and transition due to upcoming retirements
Full privileges available with an estimated credentialing period of 60 days
Competitive rate of $6,500 per 24-hour shift (all-inclusive)
Travel expenses covered, including airfare, lodging ($150 cap per night), rental car, and mileage reimbursement
