In-Patient Psychiatrist Opening in SW Virginia
We are seeking a full-time Board Certified Psychiatrist for an inpatient staff position in southwestern Virginia. The role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric services to adults in need of short-term stabilization and treatment, utilizing a collaborative approach with a multidisciplinary team. Position Details :
- Tennessee licensed Psychiatrists are welcome to apply but will need to pursue a Virginia license prior to a start date.
- 7 on / 7 off schedule model.
- Busy unit, accepting referrals and admissions 24-hours-a-day, 365 days per year.
- Unit designed to provide short-term stabilization and treatment for adults whose treatment needs mandate inpatient stabilization and treatment.
- The unit's goal is to return patients to a level of acuity in which comprehensive outpatient care can continue to improve the quality of life for the patient.
- Unit contains a large multipurpose treatment room, a group therapy room, a recreational therapy room, a kitchen, laundry room, offices, and work area.
- The unit provides a wide range of therapeutic modalities to its patients, including :
- Daily rounds by the Psychiatry Team including 1 Psychiatrist and 1 Psychiatric Advanced Practitioner.
- Daily therapeutic services led by licensed therapists and counselors including individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy.
- On-Site Case Management and Utilization Review.
- Recreational activities.
- Pharmacology.
- Family therapy.
- On-Site Court.
- Educational services.
