About the Team
The Assembly & Final Test team at ZF Transmissions in Gray Court, SC, is a dedicated group of 30 professionals. They focus on producing standard and plug-in hybrid transmissions, as well as E-Motors, for both passenger and commercial vehicles. As part of the largest manufacturing site in North America, with nearly 2,000 employees plant-wide, this team is integral to ensuring the high quality and reliability of our products. Their expertise and commitment help maintain ZF's leadership in the automotive industry.
What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer
- Design changes to enhance the machine functionality.
- Continuously improve and upgrade equipment.
- Troubleshoot and solve errors and problems on production equipment.
- Plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with design staff concerning product design to ensure efficient production methods.
- Determines product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, fixturing or parts, according to specifications and quality standards.
- Assess potential suppliers for production equipment, tooling and fixturing.
- Responsible for the implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production.
