Must be able to write English. 2 years previous mechanical experience. Basic math and equipment measurement skills in English and intermediate computer skills (order parts in ERP system) required. Technical or vocational school or 2 years mechanical product experience preferred. Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; forklift or pallet jack experience. Previous lean manufacturing experience preferred.Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day, walk up to 2 miles per day, handle or feel objects and / or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend, verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must frequently and repetitively lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.What you can look forward to as an Off Highway Mechanic Perform disassembly, inspection, and cleaning of parts Complete reassembly of gearboxes including implementing product updates. Inspect and report failure analysis of product and parts. Rework parts as required (machining, drilling, etc.) Test gearboxes to ensure functionality. Troubleshoot / Diagnose test bench rejects. Work independently and may have limited travel locally to customer locations. Perform related tasks as assigned.
