What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at ZF Group?
Reporting to the Divisional Controller, the Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing the North Charleston operations of Division T, working closely with the site leader. In this role, the Plant Controller will lead a team of four Senior Financial Analysts, providing strategic direction to senior leadership and ensuring efficient task delegation within the team. They will play a key role in identifying optimal investment opportunities, driving cost reductions, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize the site’s financial performance and operational efficiency.

- Being accountable for financial reporting and controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis
- Driving timely, high quality, accurate, insight-driven financial and operational analysis and reporting
- Tracking and driving finance related KPI’s
- Protecting company assets by properly accounting for capital spending and assuring that all assets are properly identified as company property.
- Performing required month end financial reporting for joint venture partner, including attendance for JV board meetings
- Managing the accounting and financial staff of the company
- Maintaining and reporting financial information in accordance with ZF CVS financial policies and reporting schedules (IFRS), including internal and external audits.
- Providing strategic guidance and support to the Leadership team to drive the business results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 years advanced financial experience
- 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing
- CMA/CPA preferred
- Strong proficiency with SAP and PowerBI
- Strong financial and accounting technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
- Excellent analytical, communications, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office
- Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information
- Well versed in accounting and experience with internal controls
- Strong persuasive and influencing skills around individuals and team players
- Previous supervisory or management experience
