Job description:
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible to assist supplier related activities surrounding process control, APQP, problem solving methodologies, and quality launches for new or modified products, in order to support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers, all while ensuring local adherence to global quality objectives and corporate standards
What you can look forward to as Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Supports and complies with established Company’s Corporate Principles and goals.
- Understand and comply with Quality requirements such as automotive requirements
- Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to determine adequacy, capability, and ability to comply with customer specifications and company’s specifications.
- Develop and maintain documents and procedures related to quality standards, risk analysis, lessons learned from product recalls, product audits, field returns and repairs, complaints, scrap, and rework, and retain documented information as evidence.
- Interpret prints and measurement tools (GD&T).
- Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process.
- Perform activities in coordination with other departments, effectively respond and communicate in a timely manner. Developing and maintaining productive working relationships.
- Initiate, complete, and ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards.
Your Profile as Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3 years of experience with strong functional/product knowledge.
- 1 years of experience in quality related role
- Expert-level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of product line(s) and engineering design principles.
- Extensive experience with engineering change systems.
- Strong knowledge in problem solving methodology and techniques.
- Proven creativity and analytical methods (i.e. six sigma) with a high-level of attention to detail
