POSITION: Analysis Technician
REPORTS TO: Repair & Analysis Manager
GRADE: TBD (based on skill/experience)
SHIFT: Thurs - Sun, 5am-5pm
DESCRIPTION
- Electronics technician that analyzes Marshall non-conforming material, identifies defect root cause, communicates defect root cause to Process Quality and participates in containment and corrective action as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze non-conforming material and identify defect root cause in a timely manner.
- Confirm component failures by performing A-B swaps.
- Submit analysis requests for potential component supplier issues.
- Communicate failure trends to Process Quality or Test Maintenance based on analysis determined failure mode.
- Target a 24-hour turn around for all non-conforming material entering the R&A for analysis. Urgency to identify defect root cause is critical to ensuring Marshall ships only high-quality products to its customers.
- Works under occasional supervision as needed for training and skills verification purposes.
- Performs lower level decision making regarding Quality and Manufacturing objectives.
- Check/update prior step based upon analysis results and rework restrictions.
- Fully document scrap information into SIRS
- Maintain repair areas to meet or exceed the 5S requirements.
- Document analysis results in daily report and maintain accurate FARS records of analysis results.
- Analysis accuracy, complete documentation, and rapid response to identified failure trends are critical to job success.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedure.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- BS or AS degree in Electronics preferred; HS degree and 3-4 years relevant experience in component-level electronics troubleshooting and/or inspection acceptable
- Strong understanding of electronics
- Excellent working knowledge of oscilloscope, multimeter, and other test equipment.
- Willingness to participate on a team with the goal of continuous improvement and ensuring Marshalls customers receive only high quality product on time.
- Working knowledge of computer systems used on various test systems.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing in repair/analysis function is desired.
- ZF electronic design experience is preferred
- Must be able to successfully complete IPC610 Specialist Certification

- Operation of computer, keyboard, mouse.
- While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear.
- Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, bend, crouch or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
