Analysis Technician

• Analyze non-conforming material and identify defect root cause in a timely manner.
• Confirm component failures by performing A-B swaps.
• Submit analysis requests for potential component supplier issues.
• Communicate failure trends to Process Quality or Test Maintenance based on analysis determined failure mode.
• Target a 24-hour turn around for all non-conforming material entering the R&A for analysis.  Urgency to identify defect root cause is critical to ensuring Marshall ships only high-quality products to its customers.
• Works under occasional supervision as needed for training and skills verification purposes.
• Performs lower level decision making regarding Quality and Manufacturing objectives.
• Check/update prior step based upon analysis results and rework restrictions.
• Fully document scrap information into SIRS
• Maintain repair areas to meet or exceed the 5S requirements.
• Document analysis results in daily report and maintain accurate FARS records of analysis results.
• Analysis accuracy, complete documentation, and rapid response to identified failure trends are critical to job success.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedure.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

• BS or AS degree in Electronics preferred; HS degree and 3-4 years relevant experience in component-level electronics troubleshooting and/or inspection acceptable

• Strong understanding of electronics
• Excellent working knowledge of oscilloscope, multimeter, and other test equipment.
• Willingness to participate on a team with the goal of continuous improvement and ensuring Marshalls customers receive only high quality product on time.
• Working knowledge of computer systems used on various test systems.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing in repair/analysis function is desired.
• ZF electronic design experience is preferred
• Must be able to successfully complete IPC610 Specialist Certification

• Operation of computer, keyboard, mouse.
• While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear.
• Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, bend, crouch or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
