About the Team: The remanufacturing team supports global and local remanufacturing. The team was formed back in 2010. We are very collaborative on new project development & production support. This position will be the first in Vernon Hills.
What you can look forward to as an Electromechanical Engineer:
- Reverse-engineer & document complex circuits & Electro-mechanical devices
- Create project specific documentation, such as work instructions, test specifications, drawings, test (software) programs, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Support the production engineer in the development of work instructions, specialized process equipment and tools needed for process
- Support the program manager in the development of customer quotations
- Translate customer requirements into design solutions
- Develop & Validate salvage/cost reduction strategies
- Develop functional test strategies for remanufactured products
- Work with 3rd party to develop test equipment
- Responsible for core study and developing reman Bill of Material and reman process plan
Your Profile as an Electromechanical Engineer:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- 3 yrs of relevant engineering experience; preferably an electronics background with some mechanical experience
- Experience with programming (i.e Labview, Visual Basic C , etc.) preferred
- Experience with electronic, mechanical & hydraulic schematics
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
- Very strong communication skills both written and verbal, including presentation skills
- Experience in remanufacturing preferred
- Complex problem solving and troubleshooting ability preferred
- Experience with ISO/TS16949 certification preferred
