Part Time Lawyer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including civil litigation, real estate, commercial litigation, and criminal law. This position requires excellent legal research skills and the ability to write clear and persuasive legal documents. The Lawyer will represent clients in legal proceedings, provide advice on legal transactions, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Duties

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
• Prepare legal documents such as contracts, wills, and pleadings.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on complex cases.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all client interactions.

Skills

• Proficiency in various areas of law including civil litigation, real estate, commercial litigation, and criminal law.
• Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Excellent research skills to gather relevant case laws and statutes.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
• Strong analytical skills to assess cases and develop effective strategies.
• Familiarity with legal software tools such as Westlaw for research purposes.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed
