Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing supply chain for ZFS and its affiliate companies by supporting accurate recording and reporting procedures of all business transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages customer and supplier contracts.
- Schedules/Dispatches/Coordinates pickups and deliveries with merchandisers, customers, and vendors. Communicates with merchandisers and logistic coordinator on updated changes.
- Continually monitors, prioritizes, and manages load schedule changes and responds in a timely and effective manner.
- Manages inventories at the transloads and customer destinations.
- Reviews previous day trades and completes load scheduling i.e. daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Serves as point of contact for dispatch/scheduling by answering telephone, texts, and emails involving dispatch and scheduling and correctly distributing these to appropriate parties as needed.
- Maintain and update pricing database for daily pricing decisions and analytical analysis of markets. Perform month end contract pricing true ups across all companies.
- Approve freight invoices and verify settlement checks and payments to vendors. Help Process daily invoicing both domestically and internationally.
- Research problems related to contracts, bookings, invoices, and work with customers to resolve open issues.
- Helps manage the railcars flow by: tracking car movements, demurrage, etc.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, reconcile shipped quantities to invoiced sales, open receipts with the settlement payable account, and review open sales and purchase orders.
- Extract system data and organize information into management reports.
- Actively work with customers to ensure accounts are up to date. Aids accounts receivable when discrepancies are identified.
- Support management with planning initiatives through analyses, reports and recommendations.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.
- Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field
- Experience: 3-5 years of logistics, supply chain procurement or forecasting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions.
- Knowledge of inventory management.
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Is occasionally exposed to fumes, or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet.
