Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
General Description: The primary responsibility of Nurse Practitioners is to deliver the highest quality of medical care, including performing routine history and physicals, order diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans and perform ultrasounds and inseminations.
Supervision Received: Reports to Medical Director
Responsibilities
- Provide highest quality of patient care
- Evaluate and medically treat patients in accordance with our medical delivery standard of care, as applicable to your license
- Oversee and manage delivery of all medical services by medical staff while on shift
- Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed using our EMR system
- Educate patients on infertility evaluations, medications, treatment protocols and procedures
- Oversee patients’ cycling process - injection training, consent reviews, medication questions, and answer general process questions throughout the cycle
- Coordinates patient treatment plans, such as Egg Freezing, IUI, In Vitro Fertilization and Frozen Embryo Transfers
- Provides patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
- Routine phlebotomy as needed
- Perform intrauterine inseminations
- Perform Ultrasounds
- Perform consultations with new and prospective patients
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
- Support and promote excellence in customer service
Experience and Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience as a nurse or NP in a fertility or Ob/GYN practice
- Ultrasound experience preferred
- Strong communication skills & a team player
- Willingness to be flexible and roll with the punches
- Ability to display high degree of inspiration and leadership for team members to retain focus of providing highest levels of patient satisfaction
- Current and valid NY state Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP
- Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Unrestricted, active, and current DEA number/license, if applicable to your license
