General Description: NHFC is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant to join our practice
Supervision Received: Medical Director
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and gathers patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
- Perform intrauterine insemination (IUI), sonohysterograms, endometrial biopsies
- Perform transvaginal ultrasounds including: antral follicle count, monitoring during in vitro fertilization cycles, endometrial lining development, early obstetrical ultrasounds
- Counsel patients on treatment options
- Coordinate cycles for IVF, Egg Donor and Gestational Carrier cycles
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures necessary for the total care of patients with endocrine, structural, genetic, and fertility problems
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited PA program, current NYS licensure, BLS/ACLS certification and NCCPA board certification are required.
Experience:
- 1-3 Years of experience preferred , preferably in the fertility or OBGYN field.
Requirements:
- The PA must have excellent communication skills and be a team player and possess strong clinical skills. This position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, colleagues and medical center.
