About the Summer Camps
Zia Family Focus Center is looking for art instructors for summer day camps in the month of June 2025. Our camps serve children grades K-6. Instructors will plan and lead activities for each day of the camp. ZFFC has a variety of classrooms, a gymnasium, school playgrounds, and an outdoor garden, and we will provide tools and materials for the camp.
Propose a week-long themed camp in:
- Art (be creative and pitch us a art camp ideas with a theme)
Each camp is five days long, 4 hours per day. Morning camps are 9am-1pm, afternoon camps are from 1pm-5pm. Camp sizes range from 7-14 children.
Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans that take into account children’s age groups and interests
- Plan and lead all activities for your camp
- Keep campers safe, supervised, and engaged
- Work with staff to address behavioral issues and conflicts
- Make sure all safety rules are followed
Skills
- Proven experience working with children
- Organizational and communication skills
- Patient and reliable
- Energetic and positive personality
You must pass an APS background and fingerprint check. Experience with elementary students required.
