Descriptive Summary
An Assistant Shop Foreman is responsible to support the Shop Forman in overseeing daily operations in the shop to ensure the completion of scheduled work in a safe and efficient manner. Their duties include coordinating appointments and assisting in directing shop employees to perform specific services on vehicles, monitoring the quality of services performed, and scheduling shop staff. Reports needed supplies or tools needed while maintaining a safe work environment.

Assist in coordinating daily tasks along with Shop Foreman according to priorities and schedules, making changes when necessary due to weather, delivery, and personnel.
- Delegating individual responsibilities to shop staff.
- Perform quality checks on vehicles.
- Assist in training staff that supports the company vision.
- Assist in emphasizing the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, and procedures.
- Quality control inspection of all services performed.
- Enforces all company policies and procedures.
Core Functions

- Assist in organizing and executing the work order.
- Ensure that any services performed within the department follow company procedures.
- Ensure that proper equipment is used for specific products.
- Assist in quality control inspection of completed vehicles' interior and exterior.
- Secure customer property.
- Assist with coordinating drivers to pick up and/or deliver vehicles.
- Notifies Shop Foreman when there are disruptions to the service workflow or department needs.
- Notifies Human Resources and other appropriate management when company policies or safety protocols are not being followed.
- Fills in on workload as needed to support the department.

Familiar with a fast pace service shop environment. Understanding of basic OSHA guidelines.
