Location: Novato, CA
Zifo is hiring for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to work in the R & D area with one of our pharmaceutical clients. The BSA will implement instrument systems and software that meet the client's business needs. The BSA will help ensure systems are implemented efficiently, following a standard process to deliver systems that meet business needs, enhance compliance, improve efficiency, and reduce regulatory risk.
**This role requires 100% on-site presence at the client site in Novato, CA**
**This role is not eligible for relocation assistance**
Responsibilities:
- Interface instruments, instrument workstations with systems/software
- Perform testing and ensure system meets business needs. Resolve defects
- Analyze, develop, document data flows/ process maps
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to perform proof of concept (POC) testing.
- Develop, review, and obtain approval of SDLC documentation.
- Partner with the lab users and business SME’s to ensure software meets business needs and is used appropriately
- Implement business configurations and administer systems
- Develop test cases for systems/ software
- Draft SOPs, work instructions and other training materials
- Provide Post-Go live system/application support
Must Have:
- Ability to plan and prioritize assignments effectively to meet timeline commitments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience implementing and managing COTS, custom, simple, complex solutions used in the R&D Lab (SDMS, LIMS, instrument software, etc)
- Experience developing life cycle documentation and system/instrument specific SOPs in a regulated environment
- 5 years direct experience implementing/validating software in a regulated environment
- 2 years’ experience in a laboratory environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including meeting management, negotiation/persuasion, and conflict resolution
- Self-motivation, and be a quick learner of business processes and technology
- Versatility with Microsoft Office (or similar) application skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Highly Desired:
- Experience in generating Data Flows, Process Flows, SDLC deliverables particularly URS, FRS, Config Spec, Test Scripts
- Experience/Knowledge of good requirements gathering techniques including process mapping techniques.
- Experience in standard software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile etc.)
- Experience initiating and managing Change Control, and Deviations requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, or a related field
- Strong background in biology and chemistry with lab experience
- 5 years as a Business systems consultant / analyst, preferably in the pharmaceutical life sciences industry
- Hold a solid Understanding of Pharmaceutical Research and Drug Discovery & Development processes and Biologics workflows
