Reports To: VP of Engineering
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Product Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and refine products that meet customer needs and business objectives. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between product design and manufacturing, ensuring high-quality outcomes, efficient production, and exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design & Development:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop innovative product solutions.
- Create and review technical specifications, prototypes, and drawings.
- Manufacturing Support:
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and efficiency of designs.
- Identify and resolve production challenges, optimizing for cost, quality, and timelines.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze test results and recommend design or material modifications as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as a technical liaison between product design and engineering teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to translate technical concepts into actionable plans.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies.
- Propose and implement process improvements for product development and manufacturing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X years) in product development, engineering, or a related role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in agile development or lean manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in product design and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
