Position Summary
The Quality Inspection Technician is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and vision systems. Additionally, this individual will perform roaming audits to verify that manufactured parts meet engineering and drawing specifications. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- CMM and Vision System Operation:
- Operate and maintain CMM equipment and vision systems to perform accurate measurements of manufactured parts.
- Program CMM & vision systems using various software
- Quality Inspections and Audits:
- Perform roaming audits on the shop floor to ensure parts are being manufactured to engineering specifications.
- Verify compliance with drawings, work instructions, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve quality-related concerns.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform light routine maintenance on CMM and vision systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and calibration when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly & independently.
- Ability to verify basic algebra/trigonometry
- Ability to self-prioritize
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with PC-DMIS
- Familiarity with SolidWorks
- Experience with CMM’s and vision systems
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, etc) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or 13485 controlled facility

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
