What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control technician position at Zildjian?
The Controls Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading and designing PLC control systems around the facility.
This position will work with individuals across multiple departments and work to improve equipment functionality by upgrading PLCs and control systems on a variety of unique machines.
Success in this position requires excellent problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for learning and improving systems.
Requirements :
- Able to read and understand Electrical and Logic Diagrams.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting and programing.
- Able to troubleshoot control systems (Electrical and Pneumatic).
- Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Compliance with all OSHA regulations and company established safety policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- 2-year Tech degree or 5 years of experience.
- Experience with the below PLCs
- Automation Direct
- Panasonic
- Mitsubishi
- Visi Logic
- Proficient in Troubleshooting and programing PLCs
- Strong Critical Thinking Skills
- Strong electrical / mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to collaborate with a team.
- Able to work independently.
