A growing foodservice company is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee our daily delivery operations. This role is vital to ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely distribution of our products to customers while maintaining high standards in safety and service.
Essential Duties:
Supervise daily transportation operations to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods.- Manage and coordinate driver schedules, routes, and dispatch operations.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate daily with Delivery Drivers and Driver Helpers.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and inspection schedules to minimize downtime.
- Schedule service appointments with approved vendors.
- Manage equipment breakdowns and follow up as needed.
- Address and resolve any delivery or customer service issues as they arise.
- Provide training, coaching, and daily communication for transportation staff.
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and delivery.
- Coordinate outsourced trucking and inbound carrier shipments.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role overseeing a team of at least 10 drivers.-
Hands-on experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs); familiarity with Samsara strongly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and DOT compliance requirements.
Experience managing fleet equipment, including maintenance scheduling for at least 10 trucks/trailers. - CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not required.
