Our client is an independent, full-service developer and publisher dedicated to delivering exceptional gaming experiences.

This is a hybrid role located IN AUSTIN, TX (4 days in the office, 1 day remote)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

As a Product Manager , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our games. Reporting to the Director of Product, you'll work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch high-quality video games that align with our company vision and strategy. Your contributions will ensure the company continues to deliver industry-leading gaming experiences while driving product success from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Game Ownership : Serve as the business and product owner for games, ensuring alignment with development milestones, player needs, and quality expectations.
  • Strategic Insights : Analyze player behavior, market trends, and product gaps to guide strategic decisions. Identify opportunities to enhance the gaming experience, expand market share, and drive revenue.
  • Vision to Execution : Translate product strategies into actionable roadmaps, detailed requirements, prototypes, and wireframes.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Present and pitch product visions to internal teams and external partners using demos, documentation, and other compelling tactics.
  • Collaboration : Partner closely with development teams (engineering, QA, production) and publishing teams (sales, marketing, customer service) to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Alignment & Communication : Act as the communication hub, ensuring all teams remain aligned, informed, and unblocked throughout the game's lifecycle.
  • Milestone Management : Validate that development milestones meet expectations for cost, time, and quality.
  • Launch Success : Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to execute successful product launches that meet or exceed business objectives.
  • Leadership Updates : Provide regular project status updates to company leadership through presentations, dashboards, and open communication.
  • Accountability : Deliver products that fulfill business goals and objectives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Passion for Gaming : A deep appreciation for high-quality console video games and the player experience.
  • Business Acumen : Proven ability to develop business cases, manage budgets, and analyze P&L for game development and publishing projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Skilled in fostering strong relationships across diverse teams, including engineering, marketing, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making : Ability to make thoughtful, quick decisions that balance the needs of the company, product, players, and partners.
  • Organizational Skills : A proactive and focused approach to managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Development Knowledge : Solid understanding of the video game development process, with hands-on experience a plus.
  • Leadership & Emotional Intelligence : Compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and driven to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5 years in product management
  • 3 years in console game development
  • Demonstrated success managing the entire lifecycle of multiple gaming products
  • Strong ability to synthesize data and present actionable insights
  • A track record of delivering high-quality games on time and within budget
