About the team
Zeal (Zillow’s Engineering and Leadership) is a program geared towards sophomore students from underrepresented backgrounds with a dedicated interest in computer science. This program aims to empower future engineers with opportunities for advancement, security for their future through development of their software engineering skills, soft skill development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.About the role
The program is a paid 10-week internship that includes 3 two-week rotations through different Zillow software engineering teams which target the development of a variety of essential software engineering skills.
You can expect to:
Develop your software engineering skills to help bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application of solutions.
Attend soft skill workshops to help you develop into a well-rounded professional.
Receive dedicated mentorship from established Zillow engineers and develop your network of diverse future engineers in your cohort.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $94,000.00 - $140,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.Who you are
You are a second-year student (class of 2025) majoring in computer science or a related field. You have a passion for software engineering and are excited to collaborate with other ZEAL participants and seasoned engineers.
You have programming experience in C, C , Java, JavaScript, or Python
You have taken at least two college computer science courses
You attend a university in the United States and currently reside in one of the 50 US states or Washington D.C.
