Main Responsibilities of a Barista:
- Preparing coffee using various preparation techniques and equipment.
- Selling coffee, baked goods, and to-go orders.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the coffee/bakery-case/counter area
- Restocking and rotating products in our baked goods case
- Tracking inventory of baked goods and coffee service products, communicating par levels to managers for ordering needs in a timely fashion.
- Operating our Toast POS, taking customer orders, handling payment and fulfilling carry-out orders.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by catering to guests' needs.
Barista Job Description:
We are looking for a talented barista with experience making espresso based drinks who can help us provide exceptional customer service to our guests.
A type of employee that we have in mind is committed to the job and shows initiative in enhancing the reputation of our Zim's and The Thirsty Fox. This person should be a great team player with a knack for problem-solving and attention to detail.
A qualified candidate must be skilled in using various coffee preparation techniques and coffee brewing and grinding equipment, but must also be able to cater to our guests' needs, and upsell when appropriate.
Responsibilities of a Barista:
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by catering to guests' needs.
- Providing menu recommendations and additional information.
- Preparing coffee using various preparation techniques and equipment.
- Selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment.
- Handling cash and credit transactions.
- Maintaining inventory and managing storage and supplies.
- Maintaining a safe, healthy, and appealing work environment.
Barista Job Requirements:
- Must have prior experience as a barista.
- Must be skilled in using various coffee preparation techniques.
- Must be skilled in operating and maintaining coffee equipment.
- Must showcase great sales and presentational skills.
- Must carry at least a high school diploma.
