We are looking for Branch Logistics& Equipment Director to join our South Atlantic team in the US!
Branch Logistics& Equipment Director will be responsible for planning and supervising all operations in the South Atlantic with a focus on equipment, logistics, and overseeing Savannah office management.
This role will oversee inventory management for containers for the South Atlantic Region. Plans daily for return and pick up of equipment for shipments. This role will be the primary point of contact for the regional office and will have general oversight of all functions within the office including marine operations and maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inventory & Stock Control : Manage empty stock across all South Atlantic ports and yards, ensuring inventory is well maintained for seamless operations.
- Terminal Coordination : Collaborate with all South Atlantic terminals on daily gate functions and empty stock management, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency.
- Specialized & Inland Yard Stock Management : Oversee and manage specialized stock at all South Atlantic locations to ensure correct handling and availability. Ensure sufficient stock is available at all inland yard locations for weekly export bookings, facilitating timely evacuations and management of excess stock at terminals.
- Vessel Load Orders : Manage vessel load orders for terminals, coordinating with the corporate office and local marine operations team to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Customer & Trucker Interaction : Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and truckers, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues related to equipment or shipments.
- Cost Containment : Identify and implement cost-saving measures across all areas of operations, reporting monthly on efficiencies and improvements to the VP for the South Atlantic region.
- Office Oversight : Take charge of the general management of the Savannah office, working closely with the local management team to resolve daily operational challenges and improve team collaboration.
- Team Management : Lead and manage a team to ensure adherence to processes, maintaining high standards of performance and efficiency across all operations.
