Front Counter Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Counter Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be assisting the service writers and automotive technicians. You will be checking cars in, answering phones, performing various quality control inspections, giving rides to customers, picking up parts, light clean up, etc.... The ideal candidate will have a passion for people, will be clean and organized and the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate product knowledge ( training available)will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Process transactions accurately using the cash register and POS system.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain an organized and stocked counter area, ensuring products are readily available for customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Assist in restocking shelves and managing inventory levels as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Shuttle rides for customers
• Picking up and dropping of parts
• Checking in vehicles
• Test driving vehicles

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to operate a cash register and POS system efficiently.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential qualities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.82 - $16.89 per hour

Expected hours: 43 per week
