What are the responsibilities and job description for the Producer/News Reporter position at Zimmer Communications?
Key Responsibilities :
- Produce news and sports local talk shows on KWTO and KBFL
- Produce sporting events aired by Zimmer stations
- Stay up on current events involving news and sports formats and be available to give on air analysis
- Assist in booking guests for shows
- Do social media posts for each show, including setting up graphics, creating posts for Facebook, X, and other station platforms, and podcasting key segments of the show
- Write and produce news stories for on-air, online and social media, and anchor newscasts as assigned by the news director
- Anchor severe weather coverage and participate in a rotating on call schedule for storm coverage
- Assist music stations in voice tracking or filling in for on-air shifts as needed
- Be an active participant in team staff meetings, consultant coaching meetings, and other meetings as required by the company
