The ZimVie Marketing Associate Director is a fully remote position focused on upstream marketing and global portfolio management for digital software, hardware, services, patient specific prosthetic solutions and workflow. In addition, this team member will lead a team of product managers responsible for multiple upstream projects across the ZimVie dental digital portfolio and portfolio management. The Marketing Associate Director must be well versed in the digital dentistry space including ZimVie’s offering of software and workflows. This team member has a deep knowledge of product development in upstream marketing and has launched several products throughout the globe. Responsible for directing the development of comprehensive marketing and strategic plans, building and leading a team, and executing the annual operating plan. This role will focus specifically on digital dentistry and solutions, including all marketing activities related to these products and segments.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Leads a team responsible for lifecycle management for digital dentistry including but not limited to Intra Oral Scanners, RealGUIDE, Implant Concierge, Digital Workflows, BellaTek, Digital Dentistry portals plus bringing new products and workflows from concept through commercialization including market exit.
  • Also, will help support digital dentistry projects when no product manager available to support.
  • Works with team members to actively participate in assigned project teams and meet assigned deliverables.
  • Works with team members in developing customer requirements, financial models and product launch Go-To-Market plans by gaining product information through market research (internally and externally), market reports, competitive insights and regional / sales team input to assure projects meet the needs of the intended markets, and are appropriately strategically positioned
  • Directs team to work across multiple internal and external groups such as design, packaging and labeling, regulatory claims, technique generation, advertising, sales force education, etc
  • Maintains high level of product category knowledge through staying current in published information, regional market contacts, dentist/ labs and specialist interaction, and industry educational meetings
  • Owns major brands and/or sub-segment of the portfolio and defines team members for brand and segment ownership
  • Responsible for creating and executing on digital overall strategy and directing team members at the brand and/or sub-segment level
  • Ensures execution of key strategies for the brand and/ or sub-segment level
  • Leads team to create clear benefit focused messaging for the digital portfolio and interacts closely with MARCOM team to define clear visualization for the portfolio.
  • Works to lead team to define clinical evidence plan with the clinical strategic lead for the brands and/or sub-segment.
  • Develops and manages assigned budgets for administration and marketing activities of the products that are assigned to this responsibility. Analyzes budget variances and recommends corrective actions.
  • Develops and maintains product line technical expertise and contacts with key customers of product responsibility by executing on quarterly field rides, observing digital workflows and solutions, attending medical/scientific meetings, presentations, and seminars while gathering competitive information.
  • Works to coach and develop team members skill sets and areas for growth.

  • Microsoft Office Suite; general knowledge of medical device business including the science, products, research and commercialization process, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of dental market or other medical device markets, surgical process, selling process, regulatory process, development process, and marketing strategies.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • B.A. /B.S. in marketing, sales, or other business-related degree.
  • Experience managing direct report(s).
  • 10 years of product management experience in medical device or dental or sales experience in healthcare.
