EHS Manager

Zing Recruiting in partnership with a leading chemical manufacturing company, is seeking for an experienced EHS Manager to develop and execute programs that ensure a safe workplace while minimizing environmental impact. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, driving performance improvements, and fostering a proactive safety culture within the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and best practices.
• Safety Culture: Foster a proactive safety culture by engaging employees and leadership in EHS initiatives.
• Management System: Implement and oversee an EHS Management System to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Facility Assessments: Conduct facility assessments, identify areas for improvement, and drive corrective actions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Agency Liaison: Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies on EHS matters.
• Training Programs: Oversee EHS training programs and compliance requirements.
• Incident Investigations: Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Metrics Tracking: Track and report injury, illness, and environmental metrics, driving reductions in risk and impact.
• Workers' Compensation Support: Provide limited support for Workers' Compensation and champion sustainability initiatives.
• Regulatory Reporting: Manage EHS-related regulatory reporting and permitting.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Proven experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
