Job Title: Ocean Freight Customer Account Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
We are looking for a highly organized Ocean Freight Customer Account Manager to oversee the movement of ocean freight shipments and manage customer communications. This role involves ensuring that shipments are delivered on time, managing customer service exceptions, and identifying opportunities for business growth. You will be the main point of contact for customer inquiries and will collaborate with internal teams to optimize operations and increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate ocean freight shipments and adherence to customer service agreements
- Manage customer communications, including issue resolution and proactive exception management
- Explore upselling opportunities and new business within existing SME accounts
- Provide quotations and follow up with customers regarding pricing and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth shipment operations
- Participate in the onboarding of new customers and assist with training and operational updates
Qualifications:
- Experience in ocean freight or logistics
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to identify business opportunities and collaborate with sales teams to drive growth
