Zing Recruiting is partnering with a prominent client to find a skilled Plant Controller to support their manufacturing operations in Ironwood, Michigan, (role can be based in either Ironwood, MI or Two Rivers, WI). This role will be integral in developing systems and ensuring timely, accurate financial data reporting. Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to maintain compliance with corporate reporting standards across assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate financial and operational data for sales, costs, labor costing, and inventory management
- Prepare and present insightful financial analyses to support strategic decision-making, including key metrics, acquisitions, and initiatives
- Lead efforts to enhance profitability through financial analysis, system integration, and process improvements
- Manage inventory to ensure accurate valuations, reconcile plant data with the general ledger, and support reporting systems
- Assist in creating the Annual Plan and quarterly forecasts alongside Operations and the Corporate Controller
- Maintain cost-effective internal controls to enforce policies, procedures, and reporting accuracy
- Implement audit recommendations to ensure compliance with financial principles and regulations
- Support accounts receivable to ensure timely customer payments
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in general accounting, financial analysis, and labor cost accounting in manufacturing; public accounting and prior Controller experience are advantageous
- Strong analytical skills, data analysis abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with ERP system experience
- Self-motivated and collaborative, able to prioritize and adapt to business needs effectively
- Strong focus on compliance, internal and external customer service, and process improvements
