Project Engineer - Secondary Roads

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with the Indian River County Government, is seeking for a Project Engineer to manage planning, designing, permitting, and construction of county engineering projects, including roads and bridges. This role involves supervising support staff and working under the Public Works Director.

Process Engineer Job Summary

• Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Consultant Management: Manage consultants and contractors; perform site inspections to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Contract Administration: Prepare and manage contracts, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Financial Oversight: Review contractor pay requests and monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Reporting: Prepare technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Technical Guidance: Resolve project-related issues and coordinate with other departments.
  
  

Process Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree: Civil engineering or related field.
• Experience: 5 years in engineering or project management. A master’s degree may substitute for one year.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or eligible for reciprocity.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction techniques.
• Proficient in CAD and GIS software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
