Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent automobile manufacturer in the Savannah, GA area, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team! This is a direct hire opportunity that offers a wide range of perks and benefits!
Summary of Responsibilities:
Pay: $75k-$80k (DOE)
- Perform material testing duties for EV components and tool calibration sections.
- Evaluate department processes and recommend process and product improvements.
- Handle customer test requests and conduct EV efficiency testing.
- Operate EV efficiency and environmental chamber testing equipment.
- Review EV model certifications and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct product testing, including first article and final inspections when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
- Continuously enhance the testing and evaluation process to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Advanced metrology skills with proficient operation and knowledge of dynamometer and environmental chamber operations.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including EV, chassis, and electronic systems.
- Ability to understand, read, and engage in fluent technical English conversations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem definition and problem-solving tool application skills.
- Experience with projects that encouraged participation in related departments.
Travel Requirement:
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
