Description
The successful candidate will contribute to supporting manufacturing, performance excellence, production engineering projects, and maintenance of site-wide electrical systems. This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and improvement of process control and electrical equipment in production areas, including the chemical plant, coating plant, and finishing department. This position is expected to support projects and day-to-day activities.
Processes at ZINK include mixing, blending, grinding, temperature control, flow control, batch processing, material handling, winding, web transportation, drying, laser inspection, converting, finishing, and packaging.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with Motor Controls, DCS, PLC, and inspection systems along with associated IT equipment.
- Working on electrical installations across various voltages i.e., conduits, panels, disconnects, pipe threaders, benders etc., reading schematics, and understanding usage of proper tools and meters.
- Knowing how to work on a computer to a basic extent.
- Support projects throughout the plant.
- Daily production support and continual improvement of our systems.
- Understanding of (but not limited to) P&IDs, process flow diagrams, cable schedules, termination drawings, and construction documents.
- Maintain process standards and procedures, review proposed standards, and test plans prior to implementation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Diploma in electrical technology or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Good working knowledge of:
- MCC.
- Electrical Drives.
- Electrical & Control Cabinets.
- Wiring & Installation.
- Chemical batch processing or web transportation experience is desired.
- Familiarity with NEC, Substation exposure, Boiler systems, Water systems are good to have.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is desired.
- An attitude of working in a dynamic environment.
- The ability to learn and grow through challenges.
