Zink Holdings LLC, Whitsett, NC, has an immediate opening for an Assembly Supervisor within our Flowtron Bug Zappa manufacturing division. This is a second shift position, working four ten hour shifts – Monday to Thursday from 5 PM to 3:30 AM.
Assembly Supervisor
The Assembly Supervisor plays a crucial role in the Flowtron Bug Zappa manufacturing production, ensuring that assembly operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is pivotal for maintaining the quality and timely production of Flowtron Bug Zappas. An Assembly Supervisor oversees the assembly staff, manages workflows, and ensures adherence to safety standards and protocols, contributing significantly to the operational success of the company.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
As an Assembly Supervisor, the individual is responsible for managing and directing the activities of the assembly team. Key duties include:
- Overseeing the assembly of Flowtron Bug Zappas to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Scheduling and coordinating staff shifts and production cycles.
- Training new staff on assembly techniques and safety regulations.
- Monitoring the efficiency and output of the production line and making necessary adjustments.
- Collaborating with other departments such as procurement, logistics, and quality control to ensure a seamless production process.
- Maintaining records of production volumes, manufacturing times, and staffing issues.
- Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance production processes and reduce costs.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the assembly area.
Qualifications
Education and Certification Requirements
To qualify for the position of Assembly Supervisor, candidates typically need the following educational background and certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; however, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Certifications in production and inventory management, such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), can be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and efficiency enhancement techniques.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations is essential.
This role requires a highly meticulous and proactive supervisor with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and managing a diverse team to meet and exceed production targets while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
