We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician Lead for our substance abuse treatment facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, a passion for supporting individuals through their recovery journey, and the leadership skills to guide a team of technicians. As the Behavioral Health Technician Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the behavioral health team, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and assisting with the delivery of treatment services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead & Supervise: Oversee and provide leadership to a team of behavioral health technicians on the second shift, ensuring that all duties are completed in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
- Client Support: Provide direct support to clients with substance abuse issues, including monitoring behavior, implementing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention when necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate client records, document observations, and report any incidents or concerns to the clinical team in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff, counselors, and management to ensure coordinated care and continuous improvement of treatment services.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards, confidentiality, and ethical practices.
- Training & Development: Assist with the training of new staff, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in substance abuse treatment or a similar field is highly preferred.
- Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain calm and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities, mental health disorders, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality laws.
