We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at Zinnia Health. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in working with individuals affected by substance use disorders. This role will involve providing medical care, conducting evaluations, creating treatment plans, and supporting patients throughout their recovery journey.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for patients with substance use disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
Prescribe medications for opioid addiction, alcohol dependence, and other substance-related conditions, as appropriate.
Monitor and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including counselors, psychiatrists, and social workers.
Provide education and support to patients and their families on addiction, recovery, and health management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Participate in case reviews and patient care meetings.
Respond to medical emergencies related to substance use.
Stay updated on best practices and new developments in the treatment of substance use disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Indiana, required. Preferably licensed in RI & FL as well, or willing to get licensed.
At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on substance abuse or mental health.
Knowledge and experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) preferred.
Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
Understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
