Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for patients with substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Prescribe medications for opioid addiction, alcohol dependence, and other substance-related conditions, as appropriate.
- Monitor and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including counselors, psychiatrists, and social workers.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on addiction, recovery, and health management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in case reviews and patient care meetings.
- Respond to medical emergencies related to substance use.
- Stay updated on best practices and new developments in the treatment of substance use disorders.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New Jersey, required. Preferably licensed in RI, IN, & FL as well, or willing to get licensed.
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on substance abuse or mental health.
- Knowledge and experience with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) preferred.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
