Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing support and implementing behavior intervention plans. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral strategies and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Monitor and document client progress, including vital signs and behavioral changes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Assist clients in daily activities, promoting independence and skill development.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices, including maintaining medical records and understanding vital signs.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and compliance.
- Experience in crisis intervention techniques and understanding PTSD care is beneficial.
- A background in social work or related fields is a plus, particularly experience working with children in various settings.
