Position Summary
The Project Portfolio Manager - Quality at Zinpro manages projects within the Quality System and coordinates office and lab activities. This role involves leading various quality projects, managing documents, and maintaining records. Success requires strong project management, planning, and organizational skills, and the position is based at the Eden Prairie, Minnesota Laboratory.
Essential Functions:
- Leads and maintains capital projects and spending plans.
- Analyzes and prioritizes lab improvement ideas and builds business cases.
- Manages and executes projects, providing estimates, schedules, and updates.
- Controls Quality System documents and maintains policies, procedures, and forms.
- Oversees lab inventory and prepares purchase orders.
- Manages non-production sample requests, intake, and tracking.
- Completes internal quality and safety audits and assists with regulatory reports.
- Manages Heads-Up forms and Corrective Action Requests.
- Oversees lab appointment calendar, meetings, tours, and functions.
- Coordinates on-site visits from vendors and contractors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ project management and related experience
- Strong team management skills with ability to resolve conflict, delegate tasks, set goals, and evaluate performance
- Strong familiarity with project management software, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a plant manufacturing environment
- Excellent critical thinking skills with proven ability to weigh pros and cons to make good decision.
Preferred:
- Food safety certification (PCQI)
- Minimum 3 years’ human and animal food safety management experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma Certification
- 5 plus years’ project management and related experience
- 5 plus years’ human and animal food safety management experience
- Proficient use of multiple project software tools
This position will work primarily at the Eden Prairie lab facility. Limited company-sponsored travel may be needed, less than 10% of time.
Salary : $80,000 - $102,000
