These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology.
Description:
The Gravitational Astrophysics Laboratory conducts a broad range of scientific investigations to test Einstein's theory of General Relativity. This group provides the science and technical leadership towards the development of space based gravitational wave detection systems, solar system tests of General Relativity, and satellite tests of the Equivalence Principle. Activities include the development of the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), precision laser ranging, small force measurements, drag free control, and instrument modeling. Technology and instrument development are critical components of this program.
