Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of Zion Canyon Hot Springs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing guest services, lifeguards, safety, housekeeping, and general operations, ensuring everything runs efficiently and to the highest standard. This role directly impacts the guest experience and requires a focus on operational efficiency, staff management, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all daily operations at Zion Canyon Hot Springs, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for guests.
- Manage, train, and develop staff across multiple departments, including guest services, housekeeping, lifeguards, and safety.
- Ensure that all areas are stocked, clean, and well-maintained, meeting or exceeding quality standards.
- Monitor and manage operational resources, including supplies, staff schedules, and inventory.
- Guest Services:
- Lead the guest services team in delivering exceptional service that exceeds guest expectations.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional, timely manner, resolving issues to maintain a positive guest experience.
- Assist the Director of Guest Services & Retail to implement and oversee guest engagement strategies to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and upselling.
- Lifeguard & Safety Oversight:
- Supervise lifeguard operations, ensuring that staff are properly trained and prepared for emergency situations.
- Regularly review safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure that all pools, equipment, and facilities meet safety guidelines and are properly maintained.
- Housekeeping:
- Ensure the housekeeping team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and organization across all facilities, including guest rooms, pools, and common areas.
- Regularly inspect all areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and operational standards are upheld.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure that the team is adequately stocked and equipped.
- General Operations:
- Coordinate operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient transitions between all areas, including guest services, lifeguards, safety, and housekeeping.
- Monitor operational performance, resolve challenges, and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Safety Protocols:
- Assist the Director of Human Resources to develop, implement, and regularly update safety procedures for all areas, including pools, saunas, guest services, and general facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as industry standards, to provide a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Oversee the proper use of safety equipment and ensure staff are well-trained on its use, including first aid, CPR, and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Lifeguard Training & Supervision:
- Ensure that lifeguards are properly trained in water safety, emergency response, and CPR techniques.
- Conduct regular drills to test staff readiness for emergencies and provide ongoing feedback and training to improve response times and efficiency.
- Safety Inspections:
- Conduct daily safety inspections of all pools, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety standards are met.
- Address any safety concerns immediately and take corrective action as needed.
- Ensure the maintenance of safety signage and equipment, including emergency exits, first aid kits, and safety floatation devices.
- Incident Management:
- Partner with the Director of Human Resources to oversee the management of any safety-related incidents, ensuring a prompt and effective response.
- Document incidents thoroughly, including guest injuries, safety violations, and any corrective actions taken.
- Coordinate with emergency services and follow up on any serious incidents to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.

- Experience:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in hospitality, wellness, or lifestyle industries.
- Strong background in managing diverse teams and departments.
- Experience with guest service strategies and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
