What are the responsibilities and job description for the Minister of Music position at Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church?
Responsible for the music program of the church. Duties include planning worship services with a focus on music selection, leading choirs and worship teams. Works closely with other staff members in planning of worship services, church events or concerts. Selects and supervises the activities of choir presidents, choir directors, worship leaders, organists, pianists, and other musicians. Recruits choir members, soloists and musicians for regular or special choirs and other musical programs. May direct one or more choirs and/or play the organ at worship services. May be responsible for supervising sound, lighting, and media staff/volunteers. Responsible for leading and directing all worship and praise segments during worship services. Coordinates and leads weekly and special performing arts rehearsals. These responsibilities include but are not limited to revival services, weddings, funerals, concerts, and denominational affairs. All Music or Media personnel report to the music minister. (Singers, musicians, section leaders, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15,600.00 per year
Expected hours: 3 – 10 per week
