Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Architect Position
Duration: Full Time / Long term Contract
Location: Chicago IL / Glenview IL
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform.
- Certifications: Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect (mandatory); other relevant certifications like Google Cloud DevOps Engineer are a plus.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, Big Data, and Machine Learning tools.
- Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, DNS, Load Balancers) and security best practices (IAM, Cloud Security Command Center).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Tools and Platforms: Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Git, and other automation tools.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with data engineering tools like Apache Beam, Dataflow, or Pub/Sub.
Understanding of ML and AI capabilities in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., AI Platform, TensorFlow).
