Job Overview
The Office Assistant is responsible for handling customer inquiries, troubleshooting basic security system issues, scheduling appointments, and ensuring that no task falls through the cracks. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, technical ability, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Customer Service & Communication
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with patience and confidence.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting basic security system issues over the phone.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issues are fully resolved.
✅ Administrative Support & Organization
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments.
- Accurately enter and update customer information in company databases.
- Manage emails, documentation, and office supplies as needed.
- Ensure follow-ups are completed and nothing falls through the cracks.
✅ Technical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Learn and use security system software to assist customers.
- Walk customers through troubleshooting steps for common security system issues.
- Identify when an issue needs to be escalated and communicate it properly.
✅ Accountability & Team Collaboration
- Take ownership of tasks and follow through to completion.
- Work closely with technicians and other team members to provide seamless customer support.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude—even in high-pressure situations.
