Ziosk is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Data Governance Specialist to join our data team. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the frameworks, standards, and processes that ensure high data quality, integrity, and compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading data governance initiatives and managing enterprise master data domains, enabling data-driven decision-making.
The Main Course – Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define and enforce data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.
- Help drive the adoption of data policies across organizational units.
- Monitor data quality metrics and lead initiatives to address data-related issues and root causes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements.
- Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and metadata repositories.
- Oversee the lifecycle of master data records including creation, validation, enrichment, and retirement.
- Conduct regular data audits and drive continuous improvement of MDM processes and tools.
- Liaise with engineering, operations, and system owners to align data needs and resolve issues.
- Provide training and support for end users on data governance policies and MDM practices.
- Produce clear documentation of governance frameworks, business rules, and workflows.
What You Bring To The Table – Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Data Governance, MDM, or related data management roles.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, metadata, and lineage.
- Experience with MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Reltio, Semarchy) and data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Talend).
- Familiarity with data regulations and compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Experience in hospitality domain.
- Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data integration techniques.
- Certification in data governance or data management (e.g., DAMA CDMP).
