As a Senior Risk Analyst in the new account acquisition team, you'll optimize underwriting policies, develop frameworks to assess long term customer profitability and evaluate alternate data sources that can help the business drive better decisions. Your role involves leveraging advanced analytics to drive actionable insights and develop go-to-market strategies. You'll monitor performance metrics, stay abreast of industry trends, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where end-to-end ownership is key.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

• Build lifetime value models for new accounts
• Perform portfolio sensitivity analysis based on internal and external parameters
• Take ownership of conducting both offline and live A/B tests for new data and solutions against the current strategy.
• Perform advanced analytics and leverage best practices to achieve statistically significant results leading to actionable outcomes.
• Lead development and implementation of go-to-market risk management strategies to effectively integrate new data and solutions into the business.
• Develop insights capabilities to monitor performances and proactively identify trends and anomalies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in the Risk domain.
• Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization to drive high visibility strategic initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the team 

• 3-5 years of experience in Credit or Fraud Risk, with expert SQL skills and a passion for analyzing data in the Risk domain.
• Proven analytics experience working as a risk/data analyst. Prior experience in the finance or lending industry preferred.
• You are data-driven, eager to understand the numbers and provide meaningful insights. You can influence decision makers with a proactive approach to drive results and improvements across the business.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL is a must, knowledge of Python or PySpark is preferred. Experience on data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• You are self-organized with the ability to operate independently and prioritize effectively.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where competing priorities and ‘test and learn’ based iterations are the norm.

The Pay Range for this position: $108,000 - $140,000 USD based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip's compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
